SAN JUAN ISLAND FERRY
The San Juan Island Ferry has reliably provided passage from Anacortes, WA to the San Juan Islands. Quietly operating in the more remote parts of the PNW, they have allowed people to remove themselves from the world and place themselves into a setting and culture that prioritizes slow and quiet moments harbored in a connection with nature.
The rebranding for the ferry service is rooted in the prevalant culture of the Coast Salish Indigenous people. By bringing in this artwork and patterns, supported by a nature-inspired color palette, values of tradition, heritage, and acceptance welcome those that seek the quiet refuge the island's nature has to offer. They also team up with Headspace to provide opportunities to mentally leave the noise of life when their audience can't always physically make the escape.
