Purissima has done what not many people can do: finding the beauty and usefulness in algae. By taking a single algae cell, they have learned how to replicate all other plant cells, allowing them to create plant-based ingredients better than actual plants. This will allow for high-demand compounds to become easily accessible, taking the stress off product manufacturers while taking the stress off our planet.
Within the visual system, the marbled textures of algae portray the organic nature and the beauty of what they are doing. The slightly blurred circles, both static and animated, are inspired by the growth of algae within petri dishes. Together, it achieves what Purissima is doing: marrying the organic and scientific beauty of algae.
